Search for a web design company in Abu Dhabi and you get lists. Almost every one is written by an agency that put itself at the top, and none of them tell you how the order was decided.
We checked 14 companies across 71 pages of their own websites on 17 September 2026. Not the homepage, but the about page, the services pages, the portfolio and the contact page.
COM8 STUDIO is number one on this list and we built the list. You should treat that with suspicion. Every claim below is something you can open in a browser and check for yourself in about two minutes.
What you need to know

How we ranked these companies
A website project is really three separate jobs, and most companies only do one or two.
- Build it. Design and development. Everyone does this.
- Make it get found. Search, speed, the way the site is put together so Google can read it.
- Keep improving it after launch. Security updates, fixes, and work on getting more of your visitors to actually contact you.
If a company only does the first, you will be hiring a second supplier within six months. So we ranked on how much of the job a company does, not on its size or its years in business.
How we checked, because a list of services proves nothing. Every company lists everything. HelloPixels names about 200 services in the menu at the top of every page. So we counted how often each job is actually written about across the whole site, and ignored anything that appears roughly once per page, because that is a menu link and not a service.
That check changed the result. On the first pass HelloPixels scored highest of all 14. Then we looked properly. Its "conversion rate optimisation", meaning work to turn more visitors into enquiries, is one link in that menu. Search the whole site for page speed or accessibility and you get nothing.
The second measure is proof you can read. Not a wall of client logos. An actual write-up of one project that says what the problem was, what was built and what changed afterwards. Nine of the ten have no such page. Several have pages headed "case study" that describe what the client company does and never mention the website.
What we deliberately did not rank on. Office location and price both stayed out of the table. An office address tells you nothing about whether the website will work. One company of the fourteen publishes a price, so ranking on price would mean ranking on a blank.
1. COM8 STUDIO
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | Yes |
| Shows one finished job | Yes, four, each with the problem, the build and the result |
| What they build on | WordPress, Shopify, custom builds |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want the cheapest possible five page site and nothing after it |
We are a Dubai agency and we work across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi. We are first on this list for one reason that you can check: we are the only company of the ten that does all three parts of the job and publishes full write-ups of the work.
Open the Petmobeel case study and the problem comes first: pet grooming here was still booked by a phone call and a promise to call back. Then what was built, then what changed. The Bag of Bones store has the same structure, and so does the SignArtPro migration, which has a slider you can drag to see the old site and the new one.
Nine of the other companies here ask you to judge the work from a logo instead.
On the three jobs: we design and build websites, we run search work on the same sites, and after launch we work on getting more visitors to enquire, which is the part almost nobody sells. Our own site states 78 projects delivered and 94 percent client retention.
What we do not have. We publish no price list, and we work from Dubai. Our address is Building 1, Jebel Ali Industrial 1, and our contact page gives it in full.
2. Integrate IT Solutions
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | Yes |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress, Shopify, and custom code built from scratch |
| How long trading | They claim 10 or more years and 750 or more projects |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want to see written proof of a finished project before you commit |
The strongest technical range on the list. Their own page says they pick "the platform that suits your budget and growth plans, whether that's WordPress, Shopify, or a custom-coded solution", and names Laravel and React, which are tools for building a site from scratch rather than from a template. Very few companies here will build outside WordPress.
They also cover all three jobs properly, with in-house designers, developers and search specialists, plus hosting, backups and security updates after launch.
One thing to know before you call them. Their homepage still has the set-up notes in it. If you view the page's own code, which any browser will show you, there is a block headed "THINGS TO UPDATE BEFORE GOING LIVE" with a line telling them to add their exact street or building address. It is still there. For most businesses that would not matter. For a company selling website work, it is worth asking about.
3. RedBerries
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | Yes |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress, and online shops |
| How long trading | Since 2004 |
| Publishes prices | Yes, the only one of the ten |
| Not the fit if | You need work built outside WordPress |
RedBerries is the only company on this list that tells you what anything costs before you call. Their page says a standard CMS website "starts from $1,700 for up to 5 pages, rising to $6,000 for up to 15 pages", and that "E-commerce platforms start from $6,500". A CMS is simply a site you can edit yourself without a developer.
Whether those numbers suit you is a separate question. Publishing them at all puts RedBerries ahead of thirteen other companies on the thing buyers ask about first.
They have been trading since 2004 and claim 200 websites launched across 20 industries. They are a Dubai agency covering Abu Dhabi, the same as us.
4. HelloPixels
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | Yes, by their own listing |
| Shows one finished job | No, the case study pages describe the client, not the work |
| What they build on | Six systems, including WordPress, Shopify and Magento |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want a focused team rather than a very long menu |
The widest service list of any company here, by far. Six different systems for running a website, a dozen programming languages, and roughly 200 services in the top menu.
Read the case studies before you decide what that means. The Abu Dhabi Shipping Agency page tells you ADSA was established in 1976 and works in freight forwarding and logistics. It does not say what HelloPixels built, what was wrong with the old site, or what happened after. We opened four more of their case studies and each one is written the same way.
A long menu is not a fault on its own. But you are choosing a team, so ask which of those 200 services the people on your project have actually delivered this year.
5. RedSpider
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No. They build and they do search work, and list nothing for after launch |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | Five systems, including WordPress, Shopify and Magento, plus custom builds |
| How long trading | Since 2010 |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You need someone to look after the site every month after launch |
The widest choice of platforms on the list, and the only company of the fourteen we checked that answers the question everyone forgets to ask: who owns the website when the job is finished.
Their site says: "Once the project is complete, you receive full ownership of your website." Thirteen companies say nothing at all on the subject. Ask for that sentence in the contract anyway, because a website page is not an agreement.
They are a Dubai agency, trading since 2010, and they claim 500 projects and 14 years of work.
6. Pentagon Information Technology
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No, build and get found |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress |
| How long trading | Since 1996 |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want a design-led studio rather than an IT company that also builds websites |
The oldest company here by a wide margin. Trading since 1996, and claiming 30 years of experience, 5,000 projects, 4,000 clients and 50 staff. One client review on their own site describes a relationship running since 2001.
Thirty years in business is evidence of survival, and of support that will still be there when your website breaks on a Friday. It says nothing about how their design work looks today, so judge that from recent projects rather than from the numbers.
7. Doodle Technologies
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No, build and get found |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress |
| How long trading | Since 2015 |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | The website is the main thing you are buying |
Doodle is an IT company first. Alongside web work they sell managed IT, cloud servers, firewalls, CCTV, structured cabling, access control and Microsoft 365. Across their site the IT services are mentioned more than twice as often as anything to do with websites.
That is a genuine advantage if you want one supplier for the network, the email and the site, and a genuine disadvantage if the website is the whole point. Which of those matters depends on what you are buying.
8. BI Communications
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No, build and get found |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress |
| How long trading | Since 2018 |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want a long trading history behind the team |
A marketing agency that builds websites. Founded in 2018. They show client work in healthcare and clinics, and they sell paid advertising and social media alongside the design.
They also publish their own list of the top web design companies in Abu Dhabi, which is worth knowing when you read it.
9. WebKatalyst
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No, build and get found |
| Shows one finished job | No |
| What they build on | WordPress |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You want to know who you are hiring before the first call |
Website design and revamps, ecommerce, search and paid advertising, all present and all described briefly. The site gives a post box number rather than an address, and leaves out the founding year and the team size.
None of that makes the work bad. It does mean there is very little to check before you call, so put more weight on the conversation and ask for two references you can phone.
10. Roshni Technologies
| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does all three parts | No, build only |
| Shows one finished job | No, but the clients are named |
| What they build on | WordPress |
| Publishes prices | No |
| Not the fit if | You need search work or ongoing support from the same supplier |
The most clearly focused web design company on the list. The menu holds web design, WordPress, ecommerce, apps and creative work, and stops there.
They name the clients rather than hiding behind logos. The work listed is Apex Investment, Art Island, Alma Hotels, Samira Maatouk, TT Lounge, Tamima UAE and Nail Rituals. You can open those sites and judge the work directly, which is more than most of this list allows.
The gap is what happens next. Search work and post launch support are barely covered, so plan for a second supplier or ask them what they would do in month two.
What almost nobody publishes
Four questions decide most of what you will spend, and almost nobody answers them in public.
What it costs. One company of fourteen publishes a figure. Everything else is "request a quote". That is not a scandal, because scope really does change the price, but it does mean you cannot compare two companies without asking both the same written question.
Whether you can see one finished job. Nine of the ten never show one project properly. Client logos are not proof, because you cannot tell from a logo whether they built the site or changed one page of it. Ask any company to walk you through one website end to end.
Who owns the website. One company of fourteen addresses it. Assume the code, the designs and the domain are not yours unless the contract says so. That one clause decides whether you can change supplier later without paying to rebuild. Settle it before you sign and it costs you nothing.
What happens in month two. Six of the ten sell nothing at all for after launch. A website is not furniture. It needs security updates, and Google changes what it rewards without asking you. Find out before you sign whether updates are included, charged monthly, or simply not offered.
Six warning signs in a web design pitch
- A price with no scope next to it. "Websites from AED 2,500" tells you nothing until you know the page count, who writes the words, and how many rounds of changes are included.
- A portfolio of logos with no live links. If you cannot click through to a working site, you cannot tell whether they built it or redesigned one page of it.
- Nobody asks what the website is for. A good first call is mostly questions about your customers, while a weak one is mostly slides about the agency.
- Design shown with fake content. If every screen is filled with placeholder text, nobody has thought about your actual content yet, and content is what takes the time.
- No mention of speed. Google measures how fast a page loads and publishes the exact targets. A company that never mentions speed will hand you a slow site and call it finished.
- "SEO included" with nothing behind it. Ask what that means in hours and in tasks. If the answer is "we installed a plugin", that is a setting, not search work.
Questions to ask before you sign
Short questions, and the answers tell you more than the portfolio does.
- Who writes the words on the site, my team or yours, and is that in the price?
- When the project ends, who owns the code, the designs and the domain?
- What is included in the first year after launch, and what is charged?
- How many rounds of changes are in the price, and what happens on the fourth?
- What happens if the site goes down on a Friday night?
- Can I speak to two clients whose sites you built more than a year ago?
That last one is the strongest question on the list. Any company can show a project it finished last month. A client who is still happy after a year is a different kind of evidence.
How to choose
Work out which of the three jobs you actually need before you ring anyone.
If you need a straightforward site and you already have someone handling search, go to a company that only does web design. Roshni Technologies is the clearest example of that here.
If you want the website, the search work and the improvements afterwards from one team, pick from the four that genuinely do all three, and ask each of them to show you one finished project written up properly.
If you want your network, your email and your website from one supplier, an IT company like Doodle Technologies makes sense, as long as you accept that the website is one line in a long catalogue.
And whoever you pick, get the ownership answer in writing. It costs nothing at the start, and it is the only clause that decides whether you can move to another company in three years.
If you want a second opinion on a quote you have already been given, tell us what you were quoted and we will tell you what looks reasonable and what does not, including when you do not need us.
