01 The Overview
COM8 STUDIO created a complete public-communication system for RAK Police (Ras Al Khaimah Police), spanning social media, printed awareness material, event and environmental design, the police vehicle fleet, and a prototype of a digital public-services app. The goal was simple: help a modern police force look consistent, feel trustworthy, and stay easy to reach, whoever you are and whatever language you speak. Physical production and fleet work were delivered with Joseph Graphics.
02 The Challenge
A police force talks to everyone: residents, tourists and businesses, in a city where Arabic, English and a large Chinese-speaking community share the streets. The brand had to carry authority and trust, feel modern and human rather than bureaucratic, and stay perfectly consistent across dozens of formats.
One tone on Instagram, another on a police car, and a third in an app would quietly erode trust. So we built one system that holds from a social post to a patrol car to a phone screen.
03 The Idea
We anchored everything to the RAK Police identity, the deep maroon, the crest, and a clean modern type system, then made it multilingual by design, not as an afterthought. Every core message was built to work in English, Arabic and Chinese, so no part of the community gets a translated leftover. The through-line: serve with honor, protect with pride.
04 The Work
Multilingual social campaigns. Public-awareness sets, "Every Criminal Act Meets a Stronger Force", "Serving With Honor, Protecting With Pride", "Every Alert Mind Makes Our Community Safer", each built natively in English, Arabic and Chinese.
Awareness standees and an event kiosk. Roll-up standees ("Be Aware. Be Responsible.", "Good Values. Strong Society.", "Clean City. Better Life.") and a full branded event kiosk, produced with Joseph Graphics.
Strategy presentation decks. The RAK Police "Strategic Plan 2025 to 2028" deck, again in three languages, turning dense strategy into clean, confident slides.
Stationery and brand system. A consistent set, letterhead, folder, envelope and cards, that keeps the identity tidy across everyday official material.
Vehicle fleet. With Joseph Graphics, the police fleet livery plus a special National Day fleet ("Proud of UAE"), turning patrol cars into mobile brand ambassadors.
A public-services app, prototyped. To show where the brand goes on screen, COM8 STUDIO designed a working prototype of a RAK Police public-services app. In the prototype, residents and visitors can pay traffic fines, request a police clearance certificate, report issues, and get help from RAK AI, a built-in assistant, with UAE PASS login and an SOS shortcut, in English and Arabic. It is a design prototype built to demonstrate the experience, not a live product, and it shows how "call the station" could become "open the app." You can explore it at rakpolicerevamp.netlify.app.
05 What We Created
- Multilingual social campaigns (English, Arabic, Chinese)
- Awareness standees and a branded event kiosk
- Strategy presentation decks (three languages)
- A stationery and brand system
- Police vehicle fleet livery plus a National Day fleet
- A public-services app prototype with RAK AI, UAE PASS and SOS
- Art direction across the system, with production and fleet work by Joseph Graphics
06 The Result
RAK Police came away with one confident identity that holds from a poster to a patrol car to a phone, and speaks to its whole community in its own languages. The app prototype shows where it goes next: essential services in a few taps, with an assistant that makes a government service feel as easy as any modern app.
07 Closing Thought
Trust in a public institution is built in the small, consistent details: the same voice on every channel, in every language, whether someone is reading a poster or paying a fine at midnight. That consistency is what this system was built to deliver.
